USDA | Farm Service Agency counts on you. Nominate and vote!

Saturday, August 1, 2020 is the deadline for nominating farmers and ranchers as candidates for local election.

Farmers and ranchers. Please consider.
If you are a farmer with a Farm Service Agency (FSA) number, please consider running for your local committee to be a voice for farmers in your community! Through involvement in local FSA county committees, farmers and ranchers have an opportunity to voice opinions and share ideas on federal farm programs.

Agricultural producers who participate or cooperate in a Farm Service Agency (FSA) program may be nominated for candidacy for the county committee. Individuals may nominate themselves or others as a candidate. The nomination period will close on August 1 and ballots will be mailed to eligible voters starting on November 2.

I encourage America’s farmers, ranchers, and forest stewards to nominate candidates to lead, serve and represent their community on their county committee.

There’s an increasing need for diverse representation, including underserved producers, which includes beginning, women and minority farmers and ranchers. - FSA Administrator Richard Fordyce
