National Hurricane Cent
er is issuing advisories on Potential Tropical Cyclone #9
, which could become Isaias (pronounced ees-ah-EE-ahs). While the track and intensity forecast remains very uncertain, it looks like the eastern part of the state could at least receive impacts in the form of wind and rain beginning this weekend, and now is the time for people to check their hurricane plans (
weather.gov/mh

).
