Hemp, Inc. (OTC PINK: HEMP) a global leader in the industrial hemp industry with bi-coastal processing centers, including the 85,000 square foot multipurpose industrial hemp processing facility on nine acres in Spring Hope, NC; a 55,000 square foot state of the art local processing center in White City, Ore.; a 500 acre hemp growing Veteran Village Kins Community in Golden Valley, Az.; two model “Small Family Hemp Farms” in North Carolina and Arizona; a hemp pre-roll blending manufacturing facility in Las Vegas, NV, a 5,000 square-foot retail store (The King of Hemp Store™) in Kingman, Arizona and surpassed over $1 million in sales of their pre-98 OG Bubba Kush buds, has shared research demonstrating that hemp batteries can be more powerful than commonly used lithium and graphene which was presented in a recent article by Testset.

The article discusses new research that demonstrates the ways in which hemp batteries can be more powerful than commonly used lithium and graphene batteries. The article goes on to suggest that hemp batteries could power vehicles since battery-powered vehicles have begun to replace vehicles that use combustion engines. This is a major finding as researchers are continually looking for sustainable and efficient ways to create power.

According to the article, hemp batteries have been found to be ultra-fast, high-volume and labeled as “supercapacitors” by researchers. In addition to hemp’s capacity to produce fast, powerful batteries, hemp batteries can be made for a thousandth of the price. The effectiveness and power of a hemp battery, according to the research, can be attributed to the hemp fiber structure, which has a high surface area making it conducive to being a supercapacitor.

These findings lend themselves to hemp being a major driving force toward the sustainable, green economies of the future. As more and more states implement legal hemp production programs, the US is likely to lead in terms of supplying the global demand for hemp.

The global industrial hemp market size is expected to reach USD 15.26 billion by 2027, exhibiting a revenue-based CAGR of 15.8% over the forecast period, according to a report published by Grand View Research, Inc. Additionally, according to a new report from Global Market Insights, the Cannabidiol (CBD) Market size exceeded USD 2.8 billion in 2019 and is set to grow at around 52.7% CAGR between 2020 and 2026, with the global market valuation for CBD crossing $89 billion by 2026.
