North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper says an announcement is likely Wednesday regarding the status of the phases of reopening during the coronavirus pandemic. The current “Safer at Home” Phase 2 of reopening was previously extended and expires this Friday, August 7. “We’ll be making an announcement this week, probably Wednesday, on that executive order and a lot of other factors will take place,” Gov. Cooper said at the end of a Monday press briefing.
