Hours after immigration agents arrested about 680 Mississippi poultry plant employees in the largest single-state worksite raid in the country’s history, U.S. Attorney Mike Hurst had a message for employers. “To those who take advantage of illegal aliens, to those who use illegal aliens for a competitive advantage or to make a quick buck, we have something to say to you. If we find that you have violated federal criminal law, we’re coming after you,” Hurst said in a news conference on Aug. 7, 2019.
