MANRRS, NASDA, NASDA Foundation will sign MOU to welcome minority students into ag policy careers

What: The National Society for Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences (MANRRS), National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) and the NASDA Foundation will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to increase minority college students’ exposure to employment, educational and business opportunities in the field of agriculture, natural resources and government affairs. The MOU details a five-year partnership through which the three organizations will build on the NASDA-MANRRS Youth Agriculture Policy Summit, a training program for MANRRS students covering federal policies that impact the food and agriculture industry. In addition, the partnership will utilize the NASDA and MANRRS network to grow student-professional relationships and channel information about employment opportunities.

 

MANRRS COO Ebony Webber, MANRRS National President Dr. Antomia Farrell, NASDA CEO Dr. Barb Glenn and NASDA Foundation Executive Director Dr. Lisa Benson will host the event and sign the MOU agreement. Time for questions and a public copy of the MOU will be provided following the signing.
