The ag world has been atwitter with exclamations of amazement and wild speculation the last few days as John Deere unveiled what I think is essentially the first Million-Dollar Combine. While the price of the separator was widely reported at somewhere in the $850K range, adding on appropriately sized headers triggered grand totals of $1.2M. Ish. I will leave much of this debate to the Big Boys with enough acres, cash, and logistics to make a machine of this size, let alone price, something worth contemplating.
