Murphy-Brown Vendor Expo

Murphy-Brown is pleased to announce the 2009 Murphy-Brown Vendor Expo on Tuesday, March 17, 2009.
This one day event will feature over 150 vendors from all over the United States and World. Expo admission is free, and includes lunch.

This Expo will offer tremendous opportunities for interaction between swine and poultry growers and vendors. The vendors will be displaying the latest equipment and technology used for swine, cattle and poultry as well as being available to answer questions. Six Continuing Education hours will be offered on site for Operator-In Charge Licenses.

Duplin County Events Center, Kenansville
8:30-10:00am: Mortality Composting
10:15-11:15am: Phosphorus Management
11:15-11:45am: USDA-Rural Development Energy Grants
12:30-1:30pm: Biofuel Opportunities
1:45-2:45pm: Sludge Management
3:00-4:00pm: Methane Capture
Program offers 6 hours waste credit (credit can be earned in one-hour increments).

Please note that this expo is open to all swine growers - not just those who are affiliated with Murphy-Brown.

The North Carolina Pork Council will be overseeing an inter-company barbecue contest and the barbecue cooked by those teams will be chopped and served by NCPC staff for lunch.

Also on site will be The Other White Meat Tour, a mobile marketing program of the National Pork Board (NPB). The Tour - also know as Trailer B - will be staffed by the folks from NPB and they will be handing out some delicious pork samples.
