NCDA&CS Update 9.18.20-2nd CFAP

Additional direct assistance to farmers that was rolled out today.  Up to $14 billion will be available for USDA’s Coronavirus Food Assistance Program 2 (CFAP 2)and the program will include additional commodities like tobacco, hemp and Christmas Trees that were not previously eligible in CFAP 1.    Sign-up will begin next Monday, 9/21/20, and will last until December 11, 2020.  A producer webinar will be held on 9/24/20.  More information, and the link to register for the webinar, can be found in the USDA AMS release at the bottom of this email.
