 Hertford County will enact a temporary moratorium on future development of solar farms or solar collectors in the county. The vote to approve the measure was unanimous among four Hertford County Commissioners attending Monday’s (Oct. 5) regularly scheduled meeting. Commission Vice Chairman John Horton was unable to attend due to illness. “A moratorium is not stopping or saying there can’t be any more solar farms [in Hertford County],” stated Commission chairman Ronald Gatling.
