Mountain farmers express pandemic concerns to USDA undersecretary

 The Undersecretary of the USDA visited the mountains on Tuesday, making a couple of stops in Henderson County. USDA Undersecretary Bill Northey visited both the Blackwell Orchard and the Turf Mountain Sod Farm. At the second farm, he heard from sod, Christmas tree and blackberry farmers. Blackberry farmer Dalton Rhodes estimates he's lost $50,000 to $100,000 in crops to the pandemic. Part of that was from the economic slowdown.
