With 11,500 feet of runway, one of the largest aircraft in the world had no problem landing in Lenoir County this week for a pharmaceutical company to potentially help treat against COVID-19. The North Carolina Global TransPark welcomed an Antonov An-225 international cargo transporter plane, reaching 226-feet long, standing 70-feet high, and having a wingspan of 240 feet, to the GTP on Monday to distribute packaging equipment to West Pharmaceutical Services the following day.
