Hertford County has officially approved a measure that puts a temporary halt to the issuance of permits related to new construction of solar farm facilities. The moratorium, approved unanimously at Monday night’s regularly scheduled meeting of the Hertford County Board of Commissioners, became immediately effective on that date (Oct. 19) and lasts until June 30, 2021.
