The Washington Supreme Court today in a 4-3 decision ruled that farmers are now required to pay overtime just like other employers.  Farmers have always paid regular time for work done by employees, but starting now they will need to pay time-and-half on work over 40 hours in a week (or whatever overtime rules apply). The Court did not rule on whether this will be a retroactive provision or not.  An additional suit will be filed. We are sure to rule on that provision.
