Innovative Young Farmer of the Year

The purpose of this award is to promote and encourage the continuation of the agriculture industry in North Carolina. By honoring an individual for this award, we seek to present North Carolina agribusiness as a viable and vibrant profession.

Presented at the annual Breakfast with the Commissioner benefit at the Southern Farm Show.

 

 

Sponsored by the Farm Credit Associations of North Carolina 

Nominee Qualifications:
1. Nominees must be between the ages of 18 and 40 as of January 1, 2021.
2. Nominees should either be in school for agriculture/agribusiness or have worked in the industry for less than ten (10) years.
3. Nominees will be judged based on answers to the questions on the applications.


Requirements for Nomination:
1. Complete the application form, including the background information section.
2. Nominee or Nominator must sign the application.
3. Please answer all questions in essay format, not to exceed 200 words per question. Entries that are longer than the requested length may be discarded.
4. Completed applications must be submitted electronically on or before December 4, 2020.
