The U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers in Pharr, Texas, found $11.6 million in suspected methamphetamine hidden inside a trailer load of fresh broccoli from Mexico. The commercial shipment of fresh broccoli arrived at the Pharr International Bridge cargo facility on Nov. 13, and a Customs and Border Protection officer referred it to further inspection, which included a non-intrusive imaging exam, according to a news release. During the secondary inspection, officers found 330 packages weighing 581 pounds of alleged methamphetamine hidden in the trailer’s floor.
