The Yadkin Valley wine scene has a new entry, showcasing wine, mountain views and sunsets on 70 acres bordering the Fisher River.  The husband-and-wife team of Christian Krobisch and Melissa Hayes opened Serre Vineyards in Mount Airty in September. The Charlotte couple was inspired to take the plunge while touring vineyards across the state. The name Serre (which rhymes with care) is the French word for a glass greenhouse.
