In addition to the continuous growth of ag exports to China market, the first batch of U.S commercial rice shipped to China recently and China is the largest rice consumer in the world. It is expected that more U.S rice will be exported to China market afterwards. And there is increasing concern of rice supply shortage this year due to the pandemic and natural disasters

Moreover, a few provinces in China reported that there were frozen products with novel coronavirus testing positive in the cold chain environment this week. Government authorities suggested consumers to wear disposable gloves when shopping imported frozen products and disinfecting the packing before opening.

One of the leading medical experts for COVID-19 hinted that Chinese people will be able to start traveling internationally again as early as next Spring. It feels like that there are already reliable vaccines that will stop the pandemic in a few months. Fingers crossed!
