Croplife America (CLA) congratulates Congressman David Scott on being named chairman of the House Agriculture Committee. Representative Scott brings a clear understanding of the importance agriculture and nutrition programs play across the U.S.—both of which will be crucial as farmers and consumers continue to struggle with the impact of the pandemic.

“Representative Scott’s historic election as chairman comes at a critical time for farmers, ranchers and rural America. From a changing climate, to a struggling farm economy, growing pest pressures, and ever increasing global challenges, the Agriculture Committee will need to confront myriad challenges that threaten the health of our rural communities. We look forward to working with the new Chairman as he steps into this leadership role,” said Chris Novak, CLA president and CEO.
