Retail giant Target is the latest company to accuse major poultry producers of price-fixing. In the lawsuit, filed in a US District Court in Illinois last Friday, the retailer said it is seeking damages, the amount to be determined at trial, and payment of its legal fees.  A similar suit was filed last Friday by fast food company Chick-fil-A.  Both allege that the nation’s top chicken suppliers reduced production to force an increase in prices and then coordinated pricing for meat supplies.
