Koch is one of 18 astronauts named by NASA to train for its Artemis moon-landing program. The space agency is aiming for a landing by 2024. Koch, who holds two bachelor's degrees and a master of science, set the record earlier this year for the longest single spaceflight by a woman – with a total of 328 days in space. Along with fellow NASA astronaut Jessica Meir, she participated in the first all-woman spacewalk.
