Gov. Cooper to allow North Carolina restaurants to offer cocktails to-go

With restaurants and bars struggling to stay afloat amid pandemic-related restrictions and as colder weather squeezes their outdoor dining options, Gov. Roy Cooper is expanding their sales options.  As of Monday evening, restaurants and bars are allowed to offer mixed drinks for takeout and delivery. Cooper said the goal is to offer the businesses another revenue stream while reducing in-person interactions – and potential situations to spread the highly contagious coronavirus -- that are common at crowded bars and restaurants.
