What’s Christmas without a little more drama? Drama in this case provided by yet another non-native invasive pest, the spotted lanternfly (Lycorma delicatula). According to Emilee Morrison of the Onslow County Extension Center, on December 17 her office was notified by the NC Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services (NCDA&CS) that a Christmas tree lot in that county had purchased trees from within the Pennsylvania quarantine zone for the spotted lanternfly.
