Organic apples continue to find a reliable base of loyal consumers and attract new buyers as well, marketers say. “Organics are 10% of apple category sales on average in the U.S. yet still have room for growth through new consumers and selling more to existing organic shoppers,” said Brianna Shales, marketing director with Wenatchee, Wash.-based grower-shipper Stemilt Growers LLC.
