Extension is offering a virtual hemp growers meeting and research update open
to new and experienced hemp growers from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday. The meeting will feature
trial results from N.C. State Extension specialists from research conducted
across the state. There will also be a grower panel with experienced N.C.
growers and industry partners. Specific topics will
include hemp agronomic and strain trial results from CBD and fiber varieties;
insects and diseases of concern and their management; legal update on the North
Carolina hemp program; and dpost-harvest management recommendations. One
pesticide credit will be offered (N,D,O,X) for those with an N.C. Pesticide
Applicators license. Participants must stay for the duration of the meeting and
enter their pesticide license information when prompted in order to receive
credit for the meeting. The meeting will be held
virtually via the Zoom platform. Participants are required to register in
