The Constitution Party and the Green Party are no longer recognized political parties in North Carolina, according to the State Board of Elections. Neither party reached the required 2% of votes it needed in the 2020 election, officials said. As a result, North Carolina voters will no longer be able to affiliate with either party. On Feb. 23, the State Board of Elections will meet to determine when voters currently registered under the Green or Constitution parties will be changed to unaffiliated status. According to state law, the change occur no earlier than 90 days after the Nov. 3 election. For more of this story, click here.
