GOATS Meat and all other goat inventory on North Carolina farms January 1, 2021, totaled 46,000 head, up 2% from 45,000 head on January 1, 2019. Milk goats in North Carolina totaled 8,500 head on January 1, 2021. This total is up 13% from the January 1, 2020 inventory of 7,500 head.
