The N.C. Peach Growers’ annual assessment period expired last year and peach growers are voting in whether to renew it this year. The peach assessment was put forth by the N.C. Department of Agriculture, N.C. Peach Growers’ Society, and N.C. Cooperative Extension in 2014. It was voted upon and approved by peach growers and went into effect in January 2015.
