The 2021 Atlantic hurricane season doesn’t officially start until June 1, but the storm names are already set. And a few big changes are being implemented by the National Hurricane Center and the World Meteorological Organization. For one, these agencies have decided to scrap the old policy of using the Greek alphabet to name storms during highly active hurricane seasons — like last year — that result in the primary list of 21 names being exhausted.
