Marlowe Ivey still remembers waking up in the back of her father’s farm truck to the sound of hog feeders running. She was just three years old, and even to this day, the sound of feeders operating on her own farm reminds Ivey of where her path to farming began – and stops her from dwelling on what career path she should or shouldn’t have taken.
