Four hog farms in Sampson and Duplin counties can move forward with the installation of biogas digesters after the N.C. Department of Environmental Quality approved water quality permits needed for the Align RNG Project.  Each of the farms is a participant in the controversial project. They submitted applications to the Division of Water Resources two years ago to ask for modifications to their existing waste treatment systems. Three of the farms asked to install new in-ground, lined and covered anaerobic digesters...
