The North Carolina SweetPotato Commission announced the release of its School Foodservice Video series. The free videos are directed at school foodservice specialists and distributors and offer an introduction to North Carolina sweetpotatoes as a nutritious school menu option served in many variations. The series gives an overview of North Carolina’s state vegetable, sweetpotatoes, from growing to ordering, buying, and storing sweetpotatoes, while highlighting the many nutritional benefits, and most importantly how to incorporate this superfood on school menus.
