“The biggest risk is not taking any risk… In a world that’s changing really quickly, the only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking risks.” Those words are from Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg captured during a 2015 interview. While I am not exactly Zuckerberg’s biggest fan, his words have an incredible amount of utility in the world of agriculture right now. Farmers, faced with growing pressures from society, government, and last but not least the consumer, are being asked to massively overhaul the way they farm. The once distant drumbeats of change have now become too loud to ignore.
