Farmers in Eastern North Carolina are hopeful for this year’s planting season

Farming is a staple here in North Carolina and many communities economically rely on agriculture. This is the time of year when farmers are planting seeds in the ground again.  Farmers have to carefully monitor weather patterns each planting season and this year it’s off to a good start. Local farmers say they could use a little more rain, but so far, things are going well as they plant corn, soybeans, cotton and more.
