A helicopter pilot who was cropdusting fields was killed in a crash Sunday in North Carolina, authorities said. The Robinson R44 chopper was flying near the Charlotte suburb of Wingate around 1:30 p.m. when the aircraft became entangled in power lines, according to the Union County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Aviation Administration.
