Ford Motor Co. revealed the name of its long-anticipated electric F-150 on Monday and said it plans to unveil the vehicle this month. It's the Ford F-150 Lightning, resurrecting a sub-nameplate once used on certain Ford pickups and still loved by collectors today. The company said little about the capabilities or design of the vehicle, though it released a teaser image showing the Lightning insignia and said production will begin in spring 2022.
