A Charlotte, North Carolina, man filed a federal class-action lawsuit Wednesday against the New Indy Containerboard paper mill in Catawba, South Carolina. The lawsuit alleges New Indy polluted neighboring properties with noxious and harmful Hydrogen Sulfide emissions in an effort to increase profits beginning last November. This smell was a byproduct of the facility converting its production from paper used for catalogs to produced us to produce containerboard, officials have found. For more of this story, click here.
