Cost share funds are available
to assist farms employing migrant/seasonal farmworkers with the following: -transportation and sanitation equipment/supplies North Carolina Agromedicine Institute (ncagromedicine.org) Because not everyone is being vaccinated and farmers may not know who has or hasn’t been, they need to operate as if no one has been vaccinated and take ongoing precautions. This is a great way to get some additional equipment/supplies, while funds last. -migrant housing internet connectivity North Carolina Agromedicine Institute (ncagromedicine.org) We’re finding that even workers with their own phones and plans may not have connectivity on farm to be able to use them. Farms that have installed internet not only have happy workers but are using internet for other purposes like training and telehealth, etc. All farms can take still take advantage of cost share for respirators, filters, cartridges and other pesticide-related PPE. If we don’t have in stock, we will order. Please encourage farmers to take advantage of these
opportunities. Feel free to call/email with questions. Thanks!
