Habitat for Humanity has had to scale back on the number of homes they build as the price of lumber is just too high. Construction was supposed to start on a Pamlico County woman’s home this past spring, now she, like many others, is in limbo. “It really hurt,” said Amanda Avery. “At that point, I felt like my dreams were crushed.” For more of this story, click here.
