Welcome to the Next Generation Black and Hispanic Farmers (NGBHF) Scholarship program administered by the National Black Farmers Association (NBFA).

We recognize and respect your desire for privacy. This application requires the submission of personal information to the NBFA directly. Information provided by the applicant is considered confidential and is handled only by the NBFA and NGBHF Scholarship Selection Committee. Only authorized persons with a need and right to know will be permitted access to this information.

Correspondence throughout the application process will be by email and US Postal Service. Email messages will be sent to the email address listed on the application. Check your emails regularly!

All applicants will be notified on or before the 30th of June 2021.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:  
● Be Black, African American or Hispanic high school student farmers with a verifiable family farm operation by the USDA Farm Service Agency, Future Farmers of America  (FFA) or Cooperative Extension Service (4-H);  
● Have a minimum high school grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent); 
● Meet academic and admissions criteria for post-secondary education (refer to application for specific criteria); 
● Commit to farming on the family farm upon college graduation.
