China Office Update:Highlights from this week

China's total foreign trade expanded 26.9% year-on-year in May, while it imported (US) $222.09 billions of goods from global markets, up 39.5%.

China's consumer price index, grew by 1.3% year-on-year last month, up from 0.9% in April. Among them, food prices rose by 0.3%. It’s said that food prices rose amid a tight supply of freshwater fish and egg. Livestock and meat prices fell 11.3% in China, especially pork prices, down 23.8% year-on-year.

China announced to implement the policy of "one couple can have three children". It’s expected that the supporting measures will actively cope with the aging population and further optimize the fertility policy.
