House Agriculture Committee Chairman David Scott today announced the upcoming Full Committee hearing titled “21st Century Food Systems: Controlled Environment Agriculture’s Role in Protecting Domestic Food Supply Chains and Infrastructure”, which will take place on July 29th at 10:00 am ET.

“Next week will mark a historic moment for this Committee and our discussion on food systems and food security,” said Chairman David Scott. “In order to address 21st Century problems, we must explore innovative solutions. It has long been a priority of mine to reduce trade deficits on specialty crops and increase affordable access to healthy food for all Americans.

It is my belief that this hearing will help lift up solutions to increase domestic production, provide job opportunities here at home, utilize technology to reduce environmental impacts, and ensure that our American food supply is as safe as possible,” continued Chairman David Scott.

A live stream of the hearing will be available on YouTube.
