Who knew our local aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores is among the top in the nation, according to the USA Today Readers’ Choice 10Best Awards. North Carolina Aquariums offers four locations – Pine Knoll Shores, Roanoke Island, Fort Fisher and Jennette’s Pier – around the state. Collectively, North Carolina Aquariums secured fourth place in this year’s poll after being nominated by a panel of experts and ranked by popular vote. The North Carolina division climbed up from seventh place in 2019.
