• US-China trade reached US$404.6 billion, up 28.9% year-on-year, in the first seven months of 2021, which has also become an important reason for the sharp rise in shipping prices between China and the U.S.
• The volume of China's foreign trade, exports and imports all hit record highs in the first seven months of 2021, while their year-on-year growth rates set 10-year highs compared with the same period in previous years. Exports and imports jumped 24.5% and 24.4% from a year earlier, respectively.
• While US soybean and corn exports to China continue to grow, beef exports to China were 232 million pounds-up 1076% from one year earlier.
• Currently, there are 27 COVID-19 high-risk areas and 137 medium-risk areas in China. China is speeding up mass nucleic acid testing for COVID-19 amid a flareup of cases driven by the highly contagious Delta variant. It’s required that mass testing of populations of more than 5 million people should be completed within three days.
• The National Health Commission of China announced that as of 10th August, a total of more than 1.8 billion doses of vaccination were received nationwide. In addition, it's reported that more than 12 million teenagers aged 12 to 17 have been vaccinated across the country.
