 A combined 400 acres of farmland and wildland are being preserved from development in Buncombe County, following conservation actions by land owners, a nonprofit and county government. The four farms in Leicester, Sandy Mush and Alexander and one wildland in the Weaverville area now have conservation easements placed on them, meaning they are restricted from development.
