House Agriculture Committee Chairman David Scott of Georgia issued the following statement praising President Biden's nominations to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC):

“I am very pleased with the nominees President Biden has tapped to help lead the CFTC.  Each of these individuals will certainly serve our country with honor and integrity,” said Chairman David Scott.

“I am especially pleased with the nomination of Mr. Rostin Behnam to serve as the Chair and Commissioner of the CFTC as well as Ms. Kristin Johnson, who is currently serving as a professor at the Emory University School of Law.  I look forward to seeing these nominations move forward quickly and am delighted to take this important step towards a full slate of Commissioners at the CFTC.” Chairman David Scott continued.
