North Carolina’s small businesses are the lifeblood of many communities, but also an economic driver, combining to export $6.1 billion in goods in 2019. Since the onset of the pandemic, many have struggled to stay afloat. On Sept. 28, Duke Energy doled out $750,000 total to 30 counties across North Carolina through its Hometown Revitalization Grant program. For more of this story, click here.
