The overall goal of the SouthernAgToday online project is to
provide Southern farmers and ranchers with timely information and analytics
inform their management and marketing decisions. Sign up online! The online engagement seeks to publish a daily electronic newsletter combined with social media posts to highlight critical issues facing the region’s producers. Topics addressed included policy, farm management, crop marketing, livestock marketing, trade, agricultural finance, specialty crops, and agricultural law. Additional specialty topics will be featured throughout the features that highlight cooperatives, economic and community development, forestry, and fisheries. The project’s activities will include a collection of dissemination methods and tools ranging including newsletter articles, publications, webinars and podcasts. SouthernAgToday
is a collaboration of the Southern Extension Economics Committee (Land-grant
Extension agricultural economists), Agricultural Food and Policy Center at
Texas A&M and the Southern Risk Management Education Center at the
University of Arkansas.
