Two major foodservice distribution companies plan to lay off employees next month, according to filings with the Illinois government.

The filings, related to the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, report that ARAMARK Educational Services plans to lay off 66 employees beginning June 5 at its Calumet City, Ill. location. That office lost the contract to provide service to the Dolton (Ill.) School District.

Meanwhile, Sysco Asian Foods of Hampshire, the country's largest distributor of food to Asian restaurants, is closing its Hampshire, Ill. distribution center. Beginning June 13, 68 people will be laid off from that company.
