Environmental activists press for more action on air pollution from NC lawmakers

Environmental groups on Tuesday called for state leaders to do more to address air pollution in North Carolina. More than 70 percent of the U.S. population was exposed to more than a month of elevated levels of ozone, fine particulate pollution or both last year, according to the "Trouble in the Air" report released Tuesday by Environment America's Research & Policy Center, the U.S. Public Interest Research Group Education Fund and Frontier Group.
